The Na'na Playback Theatre Dance Troupe was created in 2008 by Toby Klein Greenwald, who has been conducting and training Playback (improvisational) Theatre since 2003. The method was created 35 years ago by Jonathan Fox and Jo Salas and has proven to be both an artistic, healing and socially bonding experience not only for the individuals who tell their stories, but for the audience as well. She also thanks Aviva Apel-Rosenthal, founder and director of the oldest Playback troupe in Israel, "Mishak Mehahaim," who she considers her mentor.

Most of the actresses in the Na'na women-to-women troupe are also trained dancers and most are certified in a form of therapy. Thus, the added value they bring to performances, especially before specialized audiences, is discerning sensitive issues and reflecting them through performance.

The troupe performs throughout Israel, both in open performances, and before special groups. It has an ongoing relationship with the Nefesh Yehudi program, that reaches out to non-Orthodox university students, and has performed for participants, mothers and staff members of special needs programs, among others. In the summer of 2015 the troupe held back-to-back performances at Dead Sea hotels for programs organized by an Orthodox tour company. Na’na has performed for Temech, an organization dedicated to promoting haredi and Orthodox business women, and for Tahel, an organization dedicated to women’s and family safety and empowerment. The troupe has performed for the Bat Melech shelter for abused women. The troupe initiated a project called “Circle of Life” in which we perform at a Jerusalem restaurant, “Tmol Shilshom,” as dinner and breakfast theater, on the topics of love stories and marriage, birth stories, intersecting circles (work/family, etc.), child raising and more, all from the circle of life. In 2018 Na'na performed as volunteers for a fundraiser for the Yuri Shtern Center for holistic treatments for cancer patients.

“Na’na” usually performs as “women to women” but it also includes actresses who are open to performing before mixed audiences.
